You can progress with meager resources like Stones, Wood, and Coal at the start of your playthrough in Enshrouded, but once you reach Flame Level 3, you’ll need to look for some Copper Ore. The reason is that this material is necessary to get to Flame Level 4. Once you’ve completed the Stone Age, getting tools, weapons, and equipment and unlocking the Alchemy Station require Copper Bars.
Reaching Flame Level 3 removes the restriction of mining this material since the Red Mist no longer blocks the path to the northern lands. However, finding the best spots to farm Copper Ore, which is needed to create Copper Bars, can still be a problem for players new to the game.
What is Copper?
Copper is an essential resource in Enshrouded with multiple purposes; it can be used to increase your Flame Level and craft shields, weapons, and armor. Since Copper is a mineable resource, you can usually find it protruding from the ground and cliffs. It can be spotted easily thanks to its dark orange color and green or blue accents.
How to Mine Copper Ore in Enshrouded
You need to have a pickaxe to mine Copper. Any pickaxe can do the deed, so feel free to use your basic pickaxe if that’s the only one you have. If you don’t have a pickaxe, you can craft one by combining four twigs, a stone, and a string. The quality of the pickaxe will only affect your mining speed, not the type of ores you can farm.
Where to Find Copper Ore
Getting to the best spots to farm Copper Ore is pretty easy. You must first reach the Revelwood Ancient Spire, located north of Springlands. It’s almost immediately beyond the fog that’s previously blocked your path. Then, use your Glider to glide west near the Carpentry Camp, past the Flame Shrine. Once you’re there, walk northwest of the camp. You’ll notice a mountain sloper overflowing with Clay and Copper veins. Since no enemies are here, you can mine as much as your heart desires.
Another location you can visit is the one further west to the entrance of the Mark of Sameth mine. However, while the mine is filled with Copper deposits, extracting them can be challenging. The dark mine is home to many Scavengers, and defeating all of them is no easy feat, especially if you don’t have the proper gear.
How to Make Copper Bars in Enshrouded
Once you have enough Copper Ore, it’s time to convert this material into Copper Bars. To do this, you must first advance through the Blacksmith quest line and complete the Crucible Needed for a Smelter quest. As you follow the steps of these quests, you’ll be able to create the Smelter, which is needed to make Copper Bars. After making the structure, you can smelt 10 Copper Bars by spending 20 Charcoal and 20 Copper Ores.
This process will take about five minutes to complete. Once finished, you can take the Copper Ores back to your Blacksmith and complete other crafting projects.
