Palworld Paladius location and how to catch

paladius

Despite Palworld only being out recently, some players have already reached the level 50 cap, making it possible for them to catch Pals that you usually wouldn’t be able to get yet.

Beyond the normal Pals you encounter, there’s another tier of Pals with unique and increased power level designs that can be challenging for Tamers. That’s right, we’re talking about Legendary Pals—arguably Palworld’s hardest Pals to take on. There are four Legendary Pals in Palworld: Jetragon, Necrosis, Frostallion, and Paladius. This time around, we’re focusing on Paladius.

Palworld: Who is Paladius?

Paladius is a Neutral-type Legendary Pal and is easily one of the strongest Pals you can get in Palworld. Besides boasting some of the best stats, Paladius is among the fastest land mounts. You can even triple jump while riding it!

Covered in gold and metallic blue armor from head to toe, it has a centaur-esque body and holds a sword and shield.

Here are some more details about Paladius:

  • Partner Skill: Holy Knight of the Firmament
  • Paldeck No.: 108
  • Food: 9/10
  • Work Suitability: Mining Lv. 2, Lumbering Lv. 2
  • Material Drops: Diamond, Pal Metal Ingot
  • Skills: Ice Missile, Power Shot, Spear Thrust, Power Bomb, Blizard Spike, Pal Blast, Iceberg

Where to Find Paladius in Palworld

You can find Paladiun in the northeastern corner of the map in the Desicrated Desert region, specifically through coordinates 446, 680. The fast travel nearest to the Legendary Pal’s location is the Deep Sand Dunes point. You’ll see Paladius roaming alone in the area, but there’s a high chance you’ll also encounter Necromus, another Legendary Pal that’s a Dark-type.

You can certainly try to fight two bosses since they’re near each other, but we recommend at least preparing your items and Pal roster beforehand. For example, you can equip weapons like the Assault Rifle and Rocket Launcher to shoot the creatures from a safe distance.

Since Paladius is in the desert region, you’ll need heat and cold-resistant armor to protect yourself. Wear the heat-resistant armor during the day while equipping the cold-resistant armor in the evenings. Your HP bar will trickle down to zero if you don't have these; you won’t last long in your fight with Paladius.

Catching Paladius in Palworld

Catching Paladius can be tricky since the Pal is essentially a level 50 boss with an arsenal of powerful moves. The best way to catch Paladius is by using Dark-type Pals like Daedream, Loupmoon, and Shadowbeak since Neutral-type Pals are weak to Dark-type attacks. Make sure that your Pals are at level 45 as well, or you risk wiping out your entire team before you even have a chance to catch it.

As for what your weapon should be, you can use the Assault Rifle to fire from a distance and lure the creature away from your Pals. This way, you can temporarily take the aggro while allowing your team to use their effective moves. If Assault Rifles aren’t your thing, you can use the Rocket Launcher or Pengullet’s Rocket Launcher (should you have an extra slot left for your team roster) to deal massive damage to Paladius. Using Pengullet’s Rocket Launcher instantly knocks out Pengullet though, so keep that in mind.

The only Spheres you should consider using when facing Paladius are Legendary Spheres to have the best chances of capturing it. This unlocks at Technology Level 44. You’ll undoubtedly burn through multiple Legendary Spheres, so you should bring many of them to the skirmish. To have a higher chance of getting Paladius, weaken it by firing at it with your weapons and letting your Pals attack it consistently. Once the boss’ HP is less than 100, throw your Legendary Sphere.

Catch Necromus First Before Facing Paladius

Another trick to ease the process is to capture Necromus first before facing Paladius. Since Necromus is a Dark-type Legendary, it’s the perfect counter-pick. Plus, considering Necromus can be found at the same location, it shouldn’t be too hard to locate the Pal.

Once you’ve decided to catch Necromus before Paladius, you may want to use Dragon-type Pals for the battle, which is the element that Dark-types are weak against. Much like Paladius, Necrosis has a low catch rate, so you better stock up on Legendary Spheres.

How to Get Paladius Through Breeding

Since Paladius is one of the four Legendary Pals, you won’t be able to get it through breeding unless you have one male and female Paladius in your Breeding Farm. You can check our Palworld breeding guide for more information, including how to bake a cake.
