Palia Gold Farming Guide

palia gold farming

Gold in Palia is used to purchase everything you need. From important recipes and materials to furniture and seeds for your plot. Gold is one of the most sought-after things in the game as the main currency. Earning Gold, especially during the early game, is crucial to progress further in Palia quickly. To get Gold, you’ll have to do a lot of grinding; it’s usually a mix of taking care of crops and hunting, but those methods are time-consuming. In this guide, I’ll be sharing the best ways you can do to farm Gold in the least amount of time possible.

Palia Best Gold Farming Methods

Glow Worm Fishing for Beginners

Fishing is one of the most popular skills in Palia; don’t be surprised if you see a group of people huddled up in a lake. This is because you can get a sizable amount of Gold without much work, especially when you’ve unlocked the Glow Worms.

You’ll need two things: Glow Worms and an Exquisite Rod. The reason behind having an upgraded rod is that you’ll need to have more line health and be faster when reeling in the fish. Glow Worms allow you to catch some of the highest-valued fish in the game. You'll get a fishing bonus increase if you have other people with you.

Once you’ve filled up your inventory, chuck everything you’ve fished in the Shipping Bin. You’ll see that the average value of these fish is around 7,000 Gold. The amount of Gold you can get can go higher, depending on how much time you want to spend fishing. If you decide to cook your haul, you’ll have a chance of converting them into a starfish, which sells for more Gold.

To unlock Glow Worms, you’ll need to be level 7 in Fishing, after which you can buy the recipe from Einar, who sells it for 2,000 Gold. Besides for fishing purposes, you can also use Glow Worms to create a HarvestBoost Fertilizer and SpeedyGro Fertilizer.

Cooking in Palia

You can try to cook many recipes in Palia, but if you’re still in the early or mid-game, you only have access to a handful of easy-to-make meals that don’t sell for much Gold—except for one. For this method, you’ll need to cook the Fisherman’s Brew.

First, you’ll need to gather ingredients. Start collecting Crystal Lake Lotus and Emerald Carpet Moss. Both can be found near the coastlines around the map. I recommend visiting the area during nighttime since it makes spotting the glowing effect on both materials easier. As for the recipe itself, the Fisherman’s Brew, you can unlock it once you hit level 5 on Fishing and purchase it from Einar for 2,000 Gold.

Once you’ve obtained enough materials, go to your plot and use your Campfire. Select and cook the Fisherman’s Brew recipe; the cooking takes about five seconds and yields five. One Fisherman’s Brew sells for 19 Gold, so you’ll earn 95 Gold if you sell all five. Simply repeat this process until you have the amount of Gold you need. You should get around 7,000+ Gold if you fill up your Shipping Bin with the dish.

Make Celebration Cakes

Sure you can cook alone, but isn’t it better with friends? Currently, the most efficient farming method in Palia is to make Celebration Cakes. To get the recipe, you’ll need to reach level 9 in Cooking and purchase it from Reth. You’ll need the following to bake a Celebration Cake:

  • 1x Milk
  • 1x Blueberry
  • 3x Flour
  • 3x Egg
  • 3x Blueberry Jam or 3x Apple Jam
  • 4x Butter
  • 4x Sweet Leaf

You can either host or join a cooking party happening on your server. I recommend going to Palia’s official Discord channel or subreddit to search for players. The best part about these cake parties is that you don’t need to bring all the ingredients. Everyone will play their part and bring one of the ingredients you’ll need to cook the Celebration Cakes.

In the long run, you should have filled up your inventory cells with Celebration Cakes, with 30 equating to 1 stack. If you have cakes in your entire inventory, you can make up to 297,000 Gold. This is by far the most Gold you can get in Palia.

The only downside to this method is that you need a party of friends to help you craft some of the needed ingredients. Otherwise, you’ll spend too much time procuring them on your own.
