Ahzreil is one of Throne and Liberty’s many world bosses who’ll drop some pretty sweet rewards. But, of course, you’ll need to actually defeat him to reap these benefits. The problem is that Ahzreil’s battle can be tricky as he uses a few lethal mechanics that’ll require some team coordination and an entire guild of players to take him down. Don’t worry though, in this guide, we’ll list each mechanic and how you and the entire group can avoid them.

Where Does Ahzreil Spawn?
You can find Ahzreil in the Shattered Temple zone. Alternatively, you can also join a level 17 Guild and head to the Guild Battles menu to directly challenge him. Keep in mind that’ll he’ll spawn at level 50, which makes it impossible to fight him solo.
Ahzreil Boss Mechanics
While Ahzreil has a smaller number of mechanics and attacks compared to the other bosses in TL, his attacks are heavy hitters, which means you should try to avoid them at all costs. Note that Ahzreil is also immune to all crowd controls like Stun, Sleep, Bind, Blindness, Collision, and Stagger, so bring only the best damage abilities you have.
- Flaming Stream
- Ahzreil projects a powerful jet of fire. Immediately move away from the attack as you’ll take heavy damage otherwise.
- Meteors
- Blue marked areas will appear on the ground when cast. After a short delay, meteors will come crashing down on the marked areas, dealing heavy AoE damage. Be aware of where you’re standing and be ready to dodge at a moment’s notice. Be sure to also keep an eye on the ground beneath your character to avoid being surprised.
- Fury Attack
- As with all enemies in Throne and Liberty, Ahzreil has a Fury Attack that must be blocked with the right timing. This Fury Attack launches a fireball at every player in the raid, which requires all players to block. Keep an eye out for the purple Fury Attack indicator on the boss, which will briefly appear just before he attacks.
- Fire Totems
- Three fire totems will spawn around the arena. Meanwhile, Ahzreil will start pulling all players towards the middle of the arena, with three randomly selected players receiving a fire orb that will float above their heads. The marked players must take the red orbs to the fire totems to destroy them. If the players do not reach the totems in time, they will explode and potentially wipe the entire raid. Each totem destroyed greatly reduces the detonation damage. Therefore, if there’s one totem left standing, it’ll deal non-lethal heavy damage to the entire raid. However, if there are two or more, it’ll spell out certain doom for the party and cause a raid wide wipe.
Players will need to master these four mechanics in order to make their fight against Ahzreil much easier. Once you’ve gotten these mechanics down pat, you’ll be able to focus all of your attention on dealing DPS to Ahzreil.
