The anime-style third-person shooter Strinova has officially launched globally. One unique aspect of the game is that it brings a new mechanic into the shooter genre: Stringify or Paper Mode, where your agents will become 2D or flat. The characters will have a smaller hitbox, glide, and stick to walls. However, don’t think that you can only rely on the new mechanic to win. Familiarizing yourself with all the characters and their mechanics is key. Having trouble picking a character to play? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here's a tier list of all the characters in Strinova.

S-Tier

Michele

Role: Anchor, Defense, Retaker.

Michele is a great agent due to her ability to spawn bots to cover small areas on the map. She’s capable of easily defending and retaking any sites as well. Not only are her bots great for defense, but they also reveal the locations of enemies and slow them down. Her ultimate deploys a powerful turret that attacks nearby enemies and is geared towards defense, making her a must-have agent for the team.

Flavia

Role: Defense, Duelist.

Flavia provides the team with area control. She can stall and stop the enemy team with her kit, which is geared towards survivability. Not only that, but her ultimate provides a zone that makes her invincible, which is a plus as it buys time for her teammates. Much like Michele, she’s also a reliable agent for Defense.

Fuchsia

Role: Attack, Defense, Scanner, Lurker, Flanker.

Fuchsia is an easy-to-play agent in this tier. Her ultimate ability boosts her firing rate and the weapon’s usability. She provides the team with information by lurking and flanking, making her valuable for Attack and Defense.

Lawine

Role: Attack, Scanner.

Lawine is another S-tier agent who provides the team with information. She can quickly scan enemies with her utility and create space on the site. This agent can easily hide using her ultimate ability which creates a zone where she becomes invisible. She's a great agent on Attack, but players will have difficulty with entry fragging.

Ming

Role: Attack, Entry Fragger.

Ming is the best entry fragger in the game. She has excellent mobility, which is perfect for Attack. Her ultimate gives her armor and she can slow down any enemy she shoots. Her only downside is that she's terrible at handling guns.

Bai Mo

Role: Attack, Defense, Anchor, Lurker, Entry Fragger.

Bai Mo is another solid choice if you want to entry frag. He's a versatile agent that can prevent enemies from using Stringify and can also protect the site from enemies. If he's ever killed, Bai Mo can use his ultimate that places a beacon where he can instantly respawn.

A-Tier

Reiichi

Role: Attack, Scanner, Sniper.

Reiichi is a great agent for players who are sniper mains. He has a semi-auto sniper with one-shot headshot potential. His ability to scan enemies can provide valuable information for the team. He can also deny enemies from entering a site. His ultimate provides him with a refresh of his active skill which enhances his shields from bullets. The downsides to this agent are that players need to have good aim, and he can be easily countered by enemy utility.

Meredith

Role: Attack, Area Control.

Meredith provides the team with area control on a site. She has excellent mobility to secure the site quickly. Her ability can debuff enemies, and her ultimate summons a device that blocks vision, pulls enemies to the center, and drains their HP. Her kit is perfect for Attack. The only downside to her is she's not good during early rounds.

Fragrans

Role: Healer, Support, Attack, Buffer.

Fragrans provides the team with a ton of support, providing a boost of movement speed or rate of fire. Fragrans can also heal herself and her allies. Thanks to her ultimate, she can give the team movement speed buffs, rate of fire buffs, and heals. She's reliable when taking over a site on Attack. The downside to her is when she uses her ultimate, she can't use her weapons, leaving her vulnerable. In addition, players might have difficulty using her due to her high skill level.

Celestia

Role: Attack, Defense, Shielder, Support.

Celestia is another support agent that players can choose. She has an excellent shield regen for the team. Her ultimate allows her to teleport to her teammates and grant them armor. The downside to this agent is that she’s useless during Defense.

Kokona

Role: Defense, Support, Sniper, Healer.

Kokona is excellent to have for her heals. She can restore the team's armor, and thanks to her ultimate, she can resurrect teammates. Her sniper also makes her helpful in Defense. The only caveat to this agent is that she lacks area control abilities.

Eika

Role: Attack, Entry Fragger, Area Control.

Eika is a reliable entry fragger for the team. She can quickly take over the site and deny enemies control over it. Eika’s ultimate summons 3 firestorms that deal burn damage. She lacks short-range attacks but compensates for them with her entry-fragging abilities.

Kanami

Role: Attack, Scanner, Sniper.

Kanami is a solid Scanner Agent. Her sniper can deal a one-shot kill. Her ability allows her to lure in and slow down enemies using holographs. She can be easily countered with utilities, but if you have excellent aim, she can be a great pick for sniper mains.

B-Tier

Nobunaga

Role: Defense, Anchor, Retaker.

Nobunaga focuses on anchoring for the team. His ultimate allows him to retake the site. His scanning skill and the power to disrupt enemies' crosshairs make him a valuable asset. Nobunaga’s ultimate releases a pulse that reveals enemies and inflicts a silence effect. His only downside is that other Anchor Agents outperform him.

Audrey

Role: Defense, Attack, Site Control, Anchor.

Audrey is a good Anchor Agent to use. She can provide the team with Area and Site Control. Her ultimate deploys a grenade launcher with 6 shots that she can use to hit enemies or control the area. For new players, she's a good pick for her easy-to-understand abilities. The only negative to this agent is that she can be countered with enemy utilities.

Maddelena

Role: Defense, Attack, Area Control.

Maddelena is another good choice for an Area Control Agent. She’s solid in taking over a site and holding it down. Her ultimate makes her an excellent disruptor by string-blocking, tracking, and slowing down enemies. However, players might have difficulty using this agent for her high skill floor.

C-Tier

Yvette

Role: Defense, Area Control, Anchor

Yvette is an Anchor Agent. She has invisibility abilities and is okay with area denial. Her ultimate ability summons a Frost Bear that creates 3 zones where enemies can slip and slow down their rate of fire. However, her abilities overall are lacking in comparison to the other agents on this list.
