Bronze

0 to 1,500 Skill Rating Points

The Bronze rank is the lowest tier in Overwatch’s ranking system. Players of this rank are either really bad at the game or newcomers. While this is the place where newcomers usually start, they rise to the upper ranks after a while. Only 8% of the player base belong to this rank.

Silver

1,500 to 1,999 Skill Rating Points

Silver is the third most inhabited rank by players in Overwatch. This is where most newbies get stuck since this is where players start to develop mechanical skills in the game. It’s fairly easy to carry the game in this rank as long as you know what you’re doing.

Gold

2,000 to 2,499 Skill Rating Points

The Gold rank by far has the most number of players in any rank in Overwatch. Having 32% of the player’s population, Gold is sort of the passageway to getting into the high ranks.

Platinum

2,500 to 2,999 Skill Rating Points

Platinum has the second most number of players in the ranked scene of Overwatch, having about 25% of the players. This is the midpoint of all the ranks. Most players of this rank have mostly average to fairly good FPS mechanics.

Diamond

3,000 to 3,499 Skill Rating Points

The Diamond rank is for the big boys. This is where climbing gets tough, as players of this rank are mostly home to seasoned veterans that can climb to the top rank. Players from this rank and the other higher ranks value teamwork above all else compared to the lower ranks.

Masters

3,500 to 3,999 Skill Rating Points

Only one can dream of getting in the Masters rank. After all, it’s one step closer to Grandmaster. Only 3% of the player base are a part of this rank, making it one of the most prestigious and hardest to attain.

Grandmaster

4,000 Skill Rating Points or more

The Grandmaster rank is home to some of the most elite players in the game, amounting to only 1% of the player base. Players that are a part of this rank are usually pro players that actually compete for titles.
