Marvel Rivals has plenty of heroes to choose from to fit your playstyle. Season 1 adds two new heroes, while also buffing and nerfing others, which will shift the meta in Quickplay and Competitive. To help players, here's the Marvel Rivals Heroes Tier List for Season 1.
S-Tier
Storm
- Great Duelist to use in matches.
- Her Weather Control can assist the team while she deals damage.
- Her ultimate is excellent for assisting in objectives and taking out the enemy team.
Doctor Strange
- Provides the team with portals to quickly move across the map.
- Maelstrom of Madness is excellent if players accumulate plenty of Dark Magic.
- Aside from supporting the team, he’s a great damage dealer.
Magneto
- An excellent utility for accomplishing objectives.
- Can counter any enemy, especially Punisher.
- Can protect his allies with his shields.
Wolverine
- Great close-range Duelist with high agility.
- Has higher max health than most Duelists.
- The Berserker Rage provides him with increasing power as long as he continues to hit a target.
Luna Snow
- She provides the team with long-range support with her area-of-effect abilities.
- Has high max health compared to other Strategists.
- Her attacks can slow down targets enough to mess up their strategy.
Hulk
- He’s the most effective Vanguard, especially with his Team-Up
- Excellent at providing space for the team while dealing damage.
- Can quickly immobilize enemies with his Radioactive Lockdown.
The Punisher
- He provides long and mid-range attacks for the team.
- Doesn't need precise aim to hit an enemy.
- Has a quicker time to kill than the rest of the Duelists.
Mantis
- Great healer among the Strategists.
- Easy to use for beginners
- Provides the team with abilities that slow down enemies, disrupting them from completing their objectives.
Invisible Woman
- She provides mid-range support for the team.
- Can use her shields to protect the team.
- Can turn invisible to move around and change her positioning.
A-Tier
Iron Man
- Provides the team with long-range attacks with AoE and single-target damage
- Has good mobility due to his free flight.
- The Repulsor Blast deals single target damage and blast damage on impact.
Star-Lord
- Good at close-range attacks.
- Can easily evade enemy attacks due to his high mobility.
- Has the highest rate of fire in the game.
Winter Soldier
- Can quickly shift from mid-range to close-range attacks.
- His Roterstern can deal splash damage aside from its fast projectile attacks.
- Can grab enemies and bring them closer to him.
Groot
- Has good abilities to prevent enemies from pushing.
- Good at providing the team with time to accomplish objectives
- Provides the team with walls and projectiles to keep them safe.
Hela
- Good long-range hero with area-of-effect attacks.
- A good damage dealer with her Nightsword Thorn and Nastrond Crowstorm.
- Her ultimate can quickly damage the opponents and push them back.
Magik
- Good survivability in close-range combat.
- Has the highest melee range.
- Her passive ability allows her to convert damage into bonus health.
Namor
- Provides the team with long-range attacks using sea creatures.
- His tridents aren't affected by the distance damage drop-off.
- His Trident of Neptune has infinite ammo.
Mister Fantastic
- A good mid-range brawler who disrupts the enemies with his powers.
- Can also work as a Vanguard due to his stretching powers.
- Stretch Punch can damage the selected target and anyone near the elongated fist.
Psylocke
- She's a mid to close-range hero with quick and high-burst attacks.
- Can turn invisible for 3 seconds.
- Psi-Blade Dash can hit multiple enemies in one strike.
Cloak and Dagger
- A two-in-one hero that provides two different sets of abilities.
- Dagger provides healing-oriented abilities to the team.
- Cloak provides protection and slows down enemies.
Hawkeye
- Has access to two different types of primary fire.
- His ultimate can target the afterimages of an opponent.
- Has long and close-range capabilities.
Rocket Racoon
- A long-range strategist who has high mobility and a versatile kit.
- His short stature makes him hard to hit, and he can easily take cover.
- Provides excellent support by providing infinite ammo to The Punisher and Winter Soldier.
B-Tier
Loki
- Relies on his Doppelganger ability to distract enemies.
- His Mystical Missile can heal allies and deal damage to enemies.
- Can swap places with his Doppelgangers.
Adam Warlock
- Provides a long-range area of effect attacks.
- His Regenerative Cocoon allows him to spawn outside the base.
- His Avatar Life Stream can heal only two targets.
Thor
- Has great HP for a Vanguard
- His abilities are okay for any situation but don't change a match's tides.
- Provides close-range damage but has slow movement.
Iron Fist
- Has a good advantage with his mobility.
- Can gain bonus health from defeating enemies
- Has a high skill ceiling to utilize his abilities fully.
Moon Knight
- A long-range hero that deals conditional damage to multiple enemies.
- Can double-jump and glide across the map.
- Needs precise aim to utilize the ricochets of his attacks fully.
Captain America
- Provides the team with hit-and-run attacks to protect allies and provide space.
- Leading Dash increases his movement speed.
- Has no indicator to show which projectiles can ricochet off his shield.
C-Tier
Squirrel Girl
- Provides the team with long-range attacks that deal with area-of-effect damage.
- Has no defensive skills.
- Her attacks can be easily avoided.
Peni Parker
- Her abilities can quickly slow down multiple targets.
- Not an effective hero when the objectives require the team to go on the offensive.
- Can't web sling or wall crawl like Spider-Man and Venom.
Venom
- Has high mobility compared to other Vanguards.
- Relies on his team to follow up his attacks.
- Only has a single charge for his web-slinging.
Spider-Man
- One of the most agile heroes in the game due to his web-slinging ability.
- Needs proper skills to utilize his abilities.
- His damage output is low.
D-Tier
Scarlet Witch
- Doesn't have any defensive skills.
- To fully utilize Chaos Control, she must be close to the target.
- Her Reality Erasure can be quickly interrupted.
Jeff the Land Shark
- His heals can only focus on one target.
- Joyful Splash is difficult to aim at on high mobility targets.
- Can't capture objectives while in Hide and Seek.
Black Widow
- Lacks abilities for close-range encounters.
- Switching her weapons takes time.
- Has no defensive abilities that can provide heals.
