Players constantly need Nitain Extract as much as possible, a scarce resource within the world of Warframe. Players originally could farm it via alerts, but since the content has been replaced, we don’t have any reliable way to grind it other than exchanging them for Nightwave credits.
How to Get Nitain Extracts
As mentioned earlier, the best way to farm Nitain Extracts is to buy them from the Nightwave Banner. You can spend 15 Nightwave credits to obtain five pieces, and while it may seem little, it's the most you can get from any source. It’s a free version of the BP, so you must do some challenges to gain enough currencies to redeem Extracts from its pages.
If you have exhausted all the pages from the Nightwave and still lack Nitain Extracts, you need to focus on farming missions. Because of the low drop chances, we must focus on specific rotations to get as many Nitain Extracts as possible. Some missions and enemies provide more efficient farming routes than most, so you need to prioritize them. Here are the best ways to farm Nitain Extracts:
Focus on the Nightwave
You can access the Nightwave banner by going to the in-game menu and clicking the POI at the bottom right corner of the screen. You can also access the feature via the star map. A rectangular banner should be there indicating Nightwave and the current mixed volume. The current narration doesn’t affect the shop, and it only impacts the lore. You can always buy Nitain Extract from its store regardless of the storyline.
After opening the menu and clicking Cred Offering at the bottom right, you will be shown a page indicating everything you can buy using your credits. The Cred Offering features various wares, from cosmetics to valuable materials like Nitain Extracts. The best thing about the shop is that these offers are evergreen, so you can always buy Nitrain as long as you have credits. This makes the Nightwave shop the most reliable source of this material.
You can find all the available challenges for the current narration as soon as you open the Nightwave menu. You gain credits by finishing each tier, rewarding you with at least 50 Nightwave creds. Each page would require you to obtain 10,000 XP via challenges, but some also reward an additional 7,000 XP, which helps level up the free BP. If you need Nitain Extracts, you want to focus on finishing all the tiers in the Nightwave menu.
Do Ghoul Purge Bounties When Available
When Ghoul Purge events occur, always take the chance to farm them for Nitain Extract. Some bounties have an opportunity to provide you with this resource, which you can check by inspecting the stages. The best thing about this is that you don’t need to finish the whole mission once you have obtained the Nitain Extract. You can withdraw from the excursion immediately to move on to the next one.
You want to level up to at least 15 to increase the chances of Nitain Extract appearing as a reward. Stage 4 Bounties can have up to 4.12% to drop this resource, while Stag 5 can go up to 5.95%. Focus on these phases as much as possible for efficient Nitain Extract runs.
Farm Resource Caches in Missions
You can always run missions that drop Nitain Extracts if you are out of options. Most Exterminate and Sabotage tasks will have several resource caches lying around. The chests you get by the end of the mission can also reward Nitain Extracts.
The key to this method is to use Warframes with fast movement speeds to explore the map quickly as you look for resource caches. I recommend frames like Zephyr, Loki, Volt, and Arcane Vanguard Rhino Prime for this. You can also use Ash due to his teleport abilities and good base speed. With these Warframes, you want to scour every corner of the map to find caches and finish objectives as quickly as possible.
The primary strategy is to finish the objectives quickly while finding caches so you can go to the next mission immediately. You want to spend less time farming mobs and more on exploration. Equipping mods with Loot Radar or Animal Instinct can help find special POIs.
It’s advisable to run Void Sabotage the most. These excursions have a 2% chance of providing Nitain Extract on every third cache. While the percentage is a bit low, ensuring that you run more missions increases your chances of finding one. Otherwise, focus on doing any Sabotage Rotation C because they are the only ones that would drop Nitain Extracts. Another perk of running these missions is finishing crafting Ayatan Sculptures, which you can trade with Maroo at the Bazaar.
Do Gift of Lotus Alerts When They Appear
Sometimes, Gift of Lotus alerts will occur that usually last 24 hours. This event contains most types of missions except assassinations and will feature level 10 to 15 enemies. Gift of Lotus rewards high-value items besides Nitain Extracts, so it’s always worth doing them when available.
Gift of Lotus occur rarely, and they usually happen after monthly Devstreams. You get moderate chances of getting Nitain Extracts from completing missions involved with these events. Unfortunately, you can only complete them once, so you can’t keep repeating them to farm the resource. However, they are still worth the effort because they would still give you other rewards that can help you in different ways.
Repeat Boss Assassinations
As mentioned earlier, Zealoid Prelate and Wolf of Saturn Six can drop Nitain Extracts on death. The chances are minimal, but they’re still reliable material sources if you kill them quickly. For this, you want to focus on the Zealoid Prelate because it’s tagged as a typical boss so that you can run assassination missions against it on repeat. The Wolf of Saturn Six is a unique boss you must summon via Wolf beacons. I would advise you to focus on the Zealoid instead.
The idea here is to complete the assassinations right away. I recommend bow or sniper rifles because they can consistently deal the most DPS on single targets. Pyrana Prime, Kuva Twin Stubbas, Kephantis, and Nataruk are good choices. You want to kill the boss immediately so you can keep repeating the runs as many times as you need.
