Where to Find Power Armor in Fallout 76

Where to Find Power Armor in Fallout 76

One of Fallout’s most iconic gears is the Power Armor, which provides the most defenses and utilities in every game. For new players in Fallout 76, it can be difficult to find a set early in the game, but we will highlight all the possible locations where you can find it. We will also discuss how you can get the more powerful models in the game.

How Does Power Armor Work?

Before we discuss the locations of power armor frames, we will explain how power armor works in Fallout 76. There are three components of the suit: the frame, the external armor, and the Fusion Core. The power armor frame is important as you need it to wear the actual armor itself. Unlike in previous Fallout games, you cannot wear the armor alone. Once you wear a power armor frame, it is bound to your inventory, so there’s no need to worry about someone stealing it.

The Fusion Core is the armor’s power source. Without a Fusion Core, your power armor will slow down to a crawl, making it more difficult to traverse the Wasteland. You can find these Fusion Cores in power plants and other Pre-War buildings or in other unclaimed power armor frames in the open world.

Power Armor Locations

Note that these places don’t guarantee a power armor frame, but they are the only locations that CAN spawn one. If you can't find one in these locations, you can jump to a different server by returning to the main menu and going back into the game world. These are the following places that may have a power armor frame.
